Voter suppression has been on the rise nationally in recent years, and this fall Mainers will vote on a ballot question that could turn our accessible, secure election system into one of the worst in the country. If you’re excited about organizing to stop voter suppression, connecting with other young organizers, and building power in this pivotal political moment, apply now to join Maine Youth Power’s fall 2025 political education cohort! 

• Commitment: Three Zoom meetings plus one action step (canvassing, writing a letter to the editor, text banking, etc.); about five hours total

• Stipend: $50, delivered upon completion of the program 

• Schedule: Zooms at 7pm on Wednesday 10/1, 10/8, and Thursday 10/16; action step timing is flexible

• Format: Virtual, with optional opportunities to canvass and a potential in-person get-together at the end of the program

• Qualifications: Must be between 16 and 25 years old and passionate about organizing. (No prior organizing experience necessary!)
